Celebrating Tall Ship American Pride’s Homecoming and Long Beach Gives
We’re still reveling in the excitement of welcoming the Official Tall Ship of the City of Long Beach back to her home dock on Pine Avenue Pier in Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor at American Pride’s Homecoming Celebration, which was held September 13-15, 2024! The three days of festivities included free deck tours and hands-on activities, as well as daily sails around the Long Beach harbor, including:
a Sunset Sail on Friday;
a (mock) Cannon Battle on Saturday featuring our guests – a number of whom were dressed as pirates – on American Pride versus our crew on Exy Johnson;
and a Shoreline Sail on Sunday.
For those who were unable to join us, don’t worry… we are working on more opportunities for you to explore, discover and learn with us and aboard Tall Ship American Pride in Long Beach through both dockside and sailing activities. Stay tuned – more details coming soon… in the meantime, enjoy these photos!

YOU DID IT! You helped us not only meet but surpass our goal for Long Beach Gives this year. Thank you to everyone who joined us in sailing full STEAM ahead in Long Beach and celebrating Tall Ship American Pride’s long-awaited homecoming, so we can inspire more youth in Long Beach together!
